36th Edsa People Power Revolution
Thirty six years ago, a simple but brave woman inspired and gathered together millions to fight for freedom. Together they overthrew a powerful and seemingly undefeatable dictatorship and regained the liberties that were taken away from them.
Today, the fight for democracy is far from over, and more women have taken the lead in various roles and even bigger causes.
As a woman, I am proud to do my share in this monumental and momentous task, while being grateful for the fruits of freedom that I and countless others have been blessed with.
