A Christmas Message From Kai Karen Santos, 2021
A few days ago, I set up my Christmas trees here at the Virtual Squad Hub, and I couldn’t help but remember how my late mom and I used to do this together. It was always fun decorating with her. She and I would bring out the old tree from the previous year along with its decorations. We always had fun shopping for new ornaments to add. Consistently, the results of our work would always wow our families and guests. Those were simple times, but we were happy and contented. And that’s all that mattered.
This previous year proved to be ablaze with firsts and countless opportunities. On a personal level, I saw my eldest child, Zak, graduate from high school into college. He used to be this sweet bouncing child, and now he’s a young man exploring the purpose of life. Meanwhile, my daughter Eve has been making strides at school as always, all while she’s blossoming into a responsible young woman, who I see as my younger version. As a proud mom, I couldn’t be any happier!
As a businessperson, the small outfit of real estate virtual assistants and other support staff that I founded and mentored in 2020 has now grown into a company of almost three hundred virtual assistants, who specialize both in real estate and e-commerce. This means two things: first class service and broader horizons for more clients and investors, not to mention more career and financial prospects for our employees. It’s the perfect win-win situation, where everyone benefits and even improves their lives for the better. This is what Virtual Squad will always be about.
On a national and even global level, the pandemic is still a challenge to be reckoned with. Here in the Philippines, Typhoon Odette has wreaked havoc in the southern part of the Philippines causing untold destruction on both lives and property for thousands of people. In both, we offer our sincerest thoughts and support as well as hope for a better tomorrow.
Next year, Filipinos would troop to the polls to elect both their national and local leaders, and their collective decision would determine the course of this emerging country for the next several years. I sincerely pray for wisdom and discernment when millions would cast their ballots and decide on their fates and their country’s.
Lastly, my late mom has always been in our hearts. Her examples of love, hard work, dedication, and looking after others have always been my guiding principles in all of my work. Virtual Squad came about because of her, and it will be sustained with the values that she has inspired in others, most notably in me. Deep inside of me, I know that she’s in heaven smiling and praying not only for me and my family, but also for those who will be with me in the challenging days to come. Yes! She’s got my back, and I got yours. Always.
To the dedicated and hardworking people of Virtual Squad, thank you for what you have been doing. You are all awesome in many ways, and I feel so blessed to have all of you around me. The success of our company is all because of you. And it is my honor to work with such talented individuals like you. Know that you will always my love and support. And I will forever salute you.
To everyone out there, life has been tough recently, but there’s always light at the end of the tunnel. With everyone’s help and God’s guidance, we will all emerge victorious .Kaya natin to. I wish you all a peaceful, safe, and merry Christmas! Maligayang Pasko sa inyong lahat. May God bless us all.
